Pupil Voice
What is “Pupil Voice”?
Pupil voice means listening to what children think about their school and learning. It’s about giving them a chance to share their ideas and opinions, so they feel involved and valued.
Why is it important?
When children have a say, they:
- Feel more confident and respected.
- Help make the school a better place for everyone.
- Learn how to work together and make decisions.
Our school’s approach
We capture pupil voice through the school council. This is a group of pupils chosen by their classmates to represent them.
School Council members:
- Share ideas from their class about how to improve school life.
- Talk about things like playground equipment, clubs, and events.
- Work with teachers to make positive changes.
This helps every pupil know their opinions matter and that they can help shape their school.
