Story Dough!
Story Dough! is an immersion into the magic world of story dreaming with small groups of children. Using the medium of playdough, Story Dough! tips children into a landscape of nonsense, rhyme, language, delicious vocabulary, mark making, make-believe, mathematics and story. It is unlimited in where your adventure can take you. Once we have sung to the Dough to wake it up, we've used it as a perfect tool to unlock our children's imaginations. The chat and the vocabulary we've been able to share with them has been wonderful.
Funky Fingers!
Funky Finger at Cutnall Green C of E Primary is an integral part of our day. It helps us to strengthen our fingers and get us ready for writing.
Incidental Opportunities to Write
Our learning environment is set up with a plethora of opportunities to write! Whether it's lists and maps on clipboards in our construction area, or post it notes and jotters for our role play area, children have many wonderful opportunities to mark make and write. They love sharing with us what they have written!
